I just started working on the 8th Knome book. Here is one of the very first sketches. Sure, I like inking and coloring the pages in Photoshop, but nothing beats making an old school pencil sketch.

Evening doodle
There is really nothing better than doodling. I have been a professional illustrator for 20 years now, and don’t get me wrong I LOVE my job, but sometimes it’s just great to doodle for no reason. No deadlines, no editors, no expectations. Just the sheer love of drawing.
